Riot Games is no stranger to being at the top of the video game industry, and they own that role with style. Aside from upsetting Dota 2’s reign with League of Legends, Riot Games also tackled the hero shooter genre as only they could, with the release of 2020’s Valorant.
Valorant is a free-to-play first-person shooter focusing on team-based tactical play. It entered the scene through a big door, but its quality soon silenced all naysayers. The game kept on growing, raising the value of the Valorant accounts with skins in the process.
However, this game comes with a learning curve, being an eSport title and all, so we’re here to point all newcomers in the right direction. These are the best Valorant agents to master in 2024! Want to quickly master Valorant agents? Take a look at our Valorant boosting service here!
Brimstone
This Controller-type agent excels at ruining the opposing team’s plans. For example, Brimstone’s Incendiary ability allows him to launch a flammable grenade that does 60 AOE damage per second wherever it lands. That’s very handy for luring enemies out of cover, but there’s also his Stim Beacon, which instantly raises his entire team’s reload speed, fire rate, and movement speed!
Brimstone also has access to an effective escape route, courtesy of his Sky Smoke skill that can be deployed anywhere on the map, lasting for almost 20 seconds. All of that ties beautifully with his ultimate Orbital Strike skill: an orbital laser strike dealing more than 130 damage per second which he can order to any location on the map.
Such a kit makes Brimstone useful for a multitude of situations and also makes it relatively easy to aid your team without consistently scoring headshots.
Jett
Jett is a Duelist with unmatched mobility in Valorant, making her the preferred choice for the “sting like a bee!” playstyle. Her Updraft skill makes getting out of a tight spot hassle-free, and she can quickly move on the offensive afterward due to her passive ability to glide in the air. Next, she can obscure the foes’ vision for 2.5 seconds by throwing a Cloudburst grenade.
The skill she’s best known for, however, is Tailwind. Prepping this skill allows Jett to quickly dash in the direction she’s facing, re-positioning herself in a jiffy. If used correctly, Tailwind can set the stage for a productive Blade Storm (Jett’s ultimate) attack, when she pulls a set of lethal throwing knives that recharge on kills.
Skye
As one of Valorant’s Initiators agents, Skye is well equipped with effective means to scout and stun enemies. However, her Regrowth skill is what pushes her over the edge. Although she can’t use it on herself, Regrowth allows her to heal allies for up to 100 HP.
The rest of her kit is incredibly versatile as well: Trailblazer can damage enemies for up to 30 points and stun them for 2.5-4 seconds; Guiding Light is an areal attack that can quickly scout enemies and stun them for 2.25 seconds; while her ultimate skill Seekers can affect up to three nearby enemies, revealing their location and slowing them for five seconds (which is a lifetime in a game as fast-paced as Valorant).
